“The U.S.-South Korea relationship is strong and enduring. Our shared values, along with our commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship, have generated stability and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region for more than 60 years.
“Today, in the face of growing threats from the Kim Jong Un regime, it is more important than ever that we stand united. I want to thank Ambassador Ahn for his call and look forward to working with him to maintain our strong alliance.".
