Washington, D.C. - House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce (R-CA) issued the following statement on the Senate’s passage (by 98-2) of the Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act (H.R. 3364 ), which sanctions Iran, Russia, and North Korea for dangerous and belligerent actions that undermine the United States and our allies.

“I am pleased the Senate has acted overwhelmingly to give the administration much-needed economic and political leverage to address threats from Iran, Russia, and North Korea. This bipartisan bill is about keeping America safe, and I urge the president to sign it into law."

NOTE: H.R. 3364 passed the House July 25 by a vote of 419-3.
