Washington D.C. - Congressman Michael McCaul (R-TX), Lead Republican of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, released the following statement on the death of Bob Levinson in Iranian Custody.

“Bob Levinson’s death in Iranian custody is a tragedy. He dedicated himself to our country as a federal law enforcement agent and was loved by his family, who fought every day to bring him home. I have long worked to hold Iran accountable for unjustly detaining American citizens. Freeing the Americans still in Iran’s prisons could not be more urgent, and I will continue to work with the Administration on their behalf. My thoughts and prayers are with the Levinson family as they grieve this unbearable loss.".
