The following press release was published by the House Committee on Foreign Affairs on Dec. 8, 2020. It is reproduced in full below.

Washington, D.C. - Congressman Michael McCaul, Republican Leader on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, released the following statement applauding the House passage of the final National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). McCaul served as a conferee on the NDAA Conference Report and as Chairman of the China Task Force.

“The FY2021 NDAA is a bipartisan work product that will give our troops the resources they need, bolster relationships with our allies, and keep America safe from growing threats around the globe. I’m especially pleased the final bill takes steps to address the generational threat posed by the Chinese Communist Party head on, including many recommendations made by the China Task Force. For the sake of our country and our national security during this unprecedented time, I urge the Senate to pass this bill and the President to sign it without delay."

Congressman McCaul’s legislative victories in the NDAA.
