Washington D.C. - House Foreign Affairs Committee Lead Republican Michael McCaul released the following statement after the Office of Management and Budget released the first data call on all China-related spending within the United States Government.
“We must work to keep American taxpayer money from supporting the Chinese Communist Party’s authoritarian regime, which is why I sent a letter two years ago to the Trump administration asking them to collect data on China-related spending across the United States Government. I am pleased the Office of Management and Budget followed my recommendation and released data that will be critical in halting financial support for this oppressive regime.".
