McCaul Statement on Houthi Assault on Marib

Washington, DC - House Foreign Affairs Lead Republican Michael McCaul released the following statement on the ongoing Houthi assault on Marib.

“The Iran-backed Houthis’ assault on Marib is creating further suffering in a conflict viewed as the world’s worst humanitarian crisis. Last week Martin Griffith, the UN Special Envoy for Yemen, said that the Marib offensive must stop. I echo his call and strongly urge the Biden Administration to put significant pressure on the Houthis to stop this assault.".
