Meeks, McCaul Statement on the UN Security Council's Vote to Renew Humanitarian Access to the Syrian People

Washington, DC - Today, Representatives Gregory W. Meeks and Michael McCaul, Chairman and Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, released the following statement in response to the United Nations Security Council vote to renew humanitarian access to the Syrian people.

“We are pleased that the UN Security Council approved a 12 month renewal of the Bab Al Hawa humanitarian crossing in Syria. Consistent, reliable humanitarian access is vital to addressing the ongoing crisis in Syria. It is no exaggeration to say that the vote today saved lives.".
