Washington, D.C. - House Foreign Affairs Committee Lead Republican Michael McCaul has released the following statement ahead of President Biden’s State of the Union speech tonight.
“Currently, President Biden’s foreign policy failures are front and center on the world stage and our adversaries are watching. In Afghanistan, he allowed the Taliban to take over the country in less than a week. Now after months of inaction and allowing Putin to build up troops with no repercussions, Russia is committing unspeakable acts of violence against the Ukrainian people. I hope President Biden uses tonight’s State of the Union speech as an opportunity to apologize and shift the direction of this administration’s foreign policy strategy.".
