SENATOR COLLINS COMMENTS ON THE RESIGNATION OF FRANCES TOWNSEND U.S. Senator Susan Collins, Ranking Member of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, today commented on the resignation of Presidential Homeland Security Advisor Frances Townsend: “I have been fortunate to work closely with Fran on a number of critical homeland security issues including reforming the Federal Emergency Management Agency and implementing recommendations of the 9/11 Commission. Fran has served the nation well during more than two decades in public service. I thank her for her service and wish her the best."
