House Agriculture Committee Ranking Member Collin Peterson today made the following statement after the EPA released its draft 2017 Renewable Fuels Standard (RFS) targets.
“While the higher targets move in the right direction, the numbers don’t reflect the potential that exists for biofuels use and production in the United States. Following the numbers in the law would ensure a strong biofuels industry, which would have a positive impact on the rural economy, and advancements in the next generation of domestic biofuels."
