U.S. Representative to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield to Travel to Los Angeles for the Ninth Summit of the Americas
U.S. Representative to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield will travel to Los Angeles June 8 through 10 as a member of the U.S. delegation to the Ninth Summit of the Americas. The Summit of the Americas is an important opportunity for leaders and key stakeholders to come together to address the core issues facing the people of the hemisphere, including economic prosperity, climate change, the migration crisis, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield will attend the Summit’s plenary sessions, engage with leaders from throughout the hemisphere, and deliver the closing keynote address at the three-day Young Americas Forum to 500 youth delegates focused on creating a more equitable and sustainable future.
On the final evening of the Summit, Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield will participate in a panel discussion on “The Joint Future of Latin America Working with the Caribbean” organized by the Atlantic Council’s Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center. The event will be livestreamed and is open to the public to attend virtually here.
