The following press release was published by the U.S. Congress Committee on Ways and Means on June 16. It is reproduced in full below.

WASHINGTON, DC - Today, House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard E. Neal (D-MA) released the following statement thanking the Committee’s Communications Director, Erin Hatch Thomas, for her years of service to the Committee and the Congress:

“Erin has been a skilled communicator and advisor in the Congress for the better part of the last decade. From the advancement of key tax, trade, and health care policies to the historic congressional response to the COVID pandemic, she has adeptly communicated the priorities and achievements of the Ways and Means Committee, even in extraordinarily challenging times for the nation. I know I have benefitted greatly from her sound judgment, intellect, and talent. We will miss Erin on Capitol Hill, but I wish her all the best in this next chapter of her career."

Erin Hatch Thomas started with the Ways and Means Committee in 2017 as Press Secretary and was named Communications Director in 2020. She previously served in the offices of Congressman Joaquin Castro and Senator Cory Booker. Her last day with the Committee is today, June 16, 2022.
