Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke today with Canadian Foreign Minister Marc Garneau about our diplomatic efforts to bring an end to the violence in Afghanistan. Secretary Blinken also thanked the Foreign Minister for his country’s commitment to resettle 20,000 vulnerable Afghans. The Secretary expressed gratitude to the government and people of Canada for their collaboration on these important fronts.
