Rapid City Man Sentenced For Not Updating Sexual Offender Registration

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Box Elder, South Dakota, man convicted of Failure to Register was sentenced on Aug. 13, 2013, by Chief Judge Jeffrey L. Viken, U.S. District Court.

Seth Peter Between Lodges, age 31, was sentenced to 12 months and 1 day of imprisonment, 5 years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay $100 to the Federal Crime Victims Fund.

From July 24, 2012, to Nov. 19, 2012, Between Lodges failed to update his sexual offender registration as required. He pled guilty on March 28, 2013.

This case was investigated by the U.S. Marshals Service. Assistant U.S. Attorney Sarah B. Collins prosecuted the case.
