Jackson County Man Pleads Guilty To Methamphetamine Conspiracy

A Jackson County, Ill., man pled guilty to an indictment charging conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, Stephen R. Wigginton, announced today.

On Oct. 17, 2013, Brian W. Davis, 31, of Desoto, entered a guilty plea to a one-count indictment charging conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine. The offense occurred between June 2012 and Nov. 1, 2012, in Jackson and Union Counties. Davis is currently being held without bond pending a Jan. 30, 2014, sentencing hearing. At that time, he will face a penalty of up to 20 years in prison, a $1,000,000 fine, and 3 years of supervised release.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Amanda A. Robertson.
