Saint Albans Man Sentenced To Federal Prison For Distributing Heroin Stamps

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - A Saint Albans heroin dealer was sentenced to twenty one months in federal prison, U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin announced. Leonard Lewis Hare, 39, of Saint Albans, WV, previously pleaded guilty in November of 2013 to distribution of heroin. On Aug. 13, 2012, Hare sold eight (8) heroin “stamps" of approximately.06 grams each, to an informant while at his residence at the Carriage Hill Apartments in Saint Albans.

The Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Network Team conducted the investigation. Assistant United States Attorney, Joshua Hanks handled the prosecution. The sentence was imposed by United States District Judge John T. Copenhaver, Jr.
