Omaha Woman Sentenced to 5 years in Prison for Conspiring to Distribute Methamphetamine

United States Attorney Deborah R. Gilg announced that Trina Matthews, 42, of Omaha, Nebraska, was sentenced on Oct. 27, 2014, to 5 years in prison by United States District Judge Laurie Smith Camp. Matthews had previously pled guilty for her involvement in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine in the Omaha area dating back to Jan. 1, 2014. Matthews had delivered and arranged for the delivery of more than 5 grams of actual methamphetamine, which caused her to be sentenced to a mandatory minimum sentence of 5 years. After serving her sentence Matthews will be required to serve a Term of Supervised Release of 4 years.

This case was the result of an investigation by the Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office and the Omaha Police Department.
