COEUR D'ALENE - Adam Lee SiJohn, 26, of Worley, Idaho, was sentenced today to six months in prison for his part in the theft of more than $22,000 from the Benewah Market in Plummer, Idaho, U.S. Attorney Wendy J. Olson announced. U.S. District Court Judge Edward J. Lodge also ordered SiJohn to pay $22,665.04 in restitution. SiJohn was indicted by a federal grand jury in Coeur d'Alene on Oct. 21, 2014, and pleaded guilty to theft from a tribal organization on Dec. 10, 2014.
According to the plea agreement, SiJohn admitted that on the late evening and early morning of August 20 and 21, 2014, he and his two co-defendants devised a plan to rob the Benewah Market. SiJohn as given the keys and the combination to the store safe. SiJohn took three bank bags from the safe. The bags contained cash and checks totaling $22,655.04.
The case was investigated by the Coeur d’Alene Tribal Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
