Lackawanna Man Sentenced On Drug Conspiracy Charge

BUFFALO, N.Y.-U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul, Jr. announced today that Andre Jones, Jr., 27, of Lackawanna, NY, who was convicted of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute crack cocaine, was sentenced to 41 months in prison by U.S. District Court Judge Richard J. Arcara.

Assistant U.S. Attorney John M. Alsup, who handled the case, stated that on multiple occasions between Aug. 30, 2012 and February 8, 2013, the defendant was involved in the sale of cocaine and crack cocaine on multiple occasions to an confidential source working with the Drug Enforcement Administration.

The sentencing is the culmination of an investigation by the Lackawanna Police Department, under the direction of Chief James Michel and the Drug Enforcement Administration, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge James J. Hunt, New York Field Division.
