United States Attorney, Deborah R. Gilg, announced that on March 24, 2016, an indictment was unsealed charging Quirstin Marie Gross, 24, of Beatrice, with conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of a substance containing methamphetamine between Dec. 1, 2013, and Oct. 31, 2015. The charge carries a possible penalty of not less than five years, and not more than 40 years imprisonment, and a fine of up to $5,000,000. Following any prison term, there would be a term of supervised release of at least four years.
Gross had an initial appearance in federal court in Lincoln on March 28, 2016. She is scheduled for trial beginning on May 31, 2015, and she was ordered detained pending trial.
This case was investigated by the Lincoln/Lancaster County Drug Task Force and the Metro Fugitive Task Force.
