U.S. Attorney Kenneth A. Polite announced that ALLAN WENDERLAY DOMINGUEZ, age 47, a citizen of Honduras, pled guilty today to a one-count Indictment for illegal reentry of removed alien previously convicted of an aggravated felony.
According to the Indictment, on or about Feb. 11, 2016, DOMINGUEZ was found in the United States after having been officially deported on or about June 24, 2011 and Sept. 12, 2012, following a conviction for theft of goods.
DOMINGUEZ faces a maximum term of imprisonment of twenty (20) years and a fine of $250,000, up to three (3) years supervised release after imprisonment, and a $100 special assessment. U.S. District Judge Jay C. Zainey set sentencing for Aug. 23, 2016.
U.S. Attorney Polite praised the work of the United States Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Border Patrol, in investigating this matter. Assistant United States Attorney Irene González is in charge of the prosecution.
