Child Pornography Charge Brought Against Philadelphia Man

PHILADELPHIA - Thomas C. Rambo, 37, of Philadelphia, PA, was charged today by Indictment with accessing child pornography with intent to view, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger. According to the indictment, on May 31, 2015, Rambo viewed images of child pornography on an internet website.

If convicted the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of 100 years’ incarceration, a minimum of five years of supervised release up to a lifetime of supervised release, a $1,250,000 fine and a $500 special assessment.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice. Led by United States Attorneys’ Offices and the Criminal Division's Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS), Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state and local resources to better locate, apprehend and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims.
