Fort Washakie Man Sentenced to Life Imprisonment for First Degree Murder

Koby Dean Johnson, 52, of Fort Washakie, Wyoming, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Scott W. Skavdahl on Aug. 26, 2016, for first degree murder and for causing death through the use of a firearm. Johnson was arrested in Fort Washakie, Wyoming. He received life terms of imprisonment on both counts, to be served consecutively. He was also ordered to pay a $500.00 fine and a $200.00 special assessment. After custody, Johnson will be placed on supervised release for five years. This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
