Cuban Native Sentenced to Prison for Transporting Illegal Aliens

Gulfport, Miss - Yunier Hurtado-de-Armas, 30, a resident of Houston and native of Cuba, was sentenced on Monday, Sept. 19, 2016, to 13 months in federal prison followed by three years of supervised release for transportation of six illegal aliens, U. S. Attorney Gregory K. Davis announced today. Hurtado was also ordered to pay a $5,000 fine.

The case was investigated by United States Customs and Border Patrol and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Annette Williams.
