Davenport Man Sentenced to Prison for Illegally Possessing a Firearm

DAVENPORT, IA - On Dec. 13, 2016, Kaylo O’Neal Roelandt, age 22, of Davenport, Iowa, was sentenced by United States District Court Judge Stephanie M. Rose to three years in prison for Felon in Possession of a Firearm, announced United States Attorney Kevin E. VanderSchel. Roelandt was ordered to serve a three-year term of supervised release following his imprisonment.

On Aug. 1, 2016, Roelandt pleaded guilty to the charge and admitted he had previously been convicted of a drug felony in 2012, and then possessed a firearm on Dec. 16, 2014.

This investigation was conducted by the Davenport Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The case was prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa.
