BUFFALO, N.Y. - Acting U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr. announced today that Michael Early, 32, of Buffalo, NY, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute cocaine before Senior U.S. District Judge William M. Skretny. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $1,000,000 fine.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Joel L. Violanti, who is handling the case, stated that on Sept. 27, 2013, the Drug Enforcement Agency and Buffalo Police Department executed search warrant at 66 Connelly Avenue in Buffalo. During the search, officers found crack cocaine and $6,495 in cash.
The plea is the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge James J. Hunt, New York Field Division; and the Buffalo Police Department, under the direction of Commissioner Daniel Derenda.
Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 23, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. before Judge Skretny.
