Mexican National Charged With Illegal Re-entry After Deportation

Fernando Salinas-Palma, a/k/a “Fernando Gutierrez-Palma," of Norristown, PA, was charged today by Indictment with illegal reentry after deportation, announced United States Attorney Louis D. Lappen. The indictment alleges that on or about Feb. 21, 2018, Salinas-Palma, an alien, and native and citizen of Mexico, was found in the United States after having been deported from the United States on or about April 6, 2012, April 24, 2012, and June 30, 2012. If convicted the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of ten years.

The case was investigated by the Department of Homeland Security, Homeland Security Investigations (“HSI"), and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Katherine E. Driscoll.

An Indictment, Information or Criminal Complaint is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
