Sacaton Man Sentenced to 14 Years for Abusive Sexual Contact with a Minor

PHOENIX, Ariz. - On Feb. 3, 2020, Earl Edward Lara, 60, of Sacaton, Arizona, an enrolled member of the Gila River Indian Community, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Michael T. Liburdi to 168 months in prison, to be followed by lifetime supervised release. He will also be required to register as a sexual offender. The defendant pleaded guilty on October 8, 2019, to Abusive Sexual Contact with a Minor.

The investigation in this case was conducted by the Gila River Police Department. The prosecution was handled by Raynette Logan, Assistant U.S. Attorney, District of Arizona, Phoenix.
