BLM seeks public comment on Johnson Hill Special Recreation Management Area in Socorro County

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Socorro Field Office is seeking public comment on the draft environmental assessment for the development and implementation of a travel and transportation management/recreation area management plan for the Johnson Hill (also known as Gordy’s Hill) Special Recreation Management Area. The public comment period is from Aug. 1 to Aug. 30, 2022.

The draft environmental assessment, project summary, interactive map and details on how to participate in this planning effort are posted on the BLM’s ePlanning website at: https://eplanning.blm.gov/eplanning-ui/project/2012247/510. The documents may also be viewed at the BLM Socorro Field Office. Interested members of the public may provide written comments during this scoping period through:
