Horsetooth, Carter, Pinewood, and Flatiron reservoirs are part of the Colorado-Big Thompson water project owned by the Bureau of Reclamation. Larimer County Parks and Open Lands manages recreation for Reclamation at all four reservoirs.

The Recreation Master Plan and Resource Management Plan work hand-in-hand to coordinate and outline recreational development and improvements at the four reservoirs. Larimer County Parks prepares the Master Plan, while Reclamation is responsible for the Resource Management Plan, which includes compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act.

For more information on either plan and the open houses, please visit http://www.larimer.org/parks/masterplan/ or contact Kara Lamb at (970) 962-4326.
