Reclamation Releases Draft Environmental Documents for Accelerated Water Transfer and Exchange Program for Friant Division and Cross Valley Contractors

FRESNO, Calif. -The Bureau of Reclamation has released for public review the Draft Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for the implementation of an accelerated process for annual water transfers and/or exchanges pursuant to Section 3405(a) of the CVPIA for Contract Years 2016 through 2020 (March 1, 2016 to Feb. 28, 2021).

The accelerated process would continue previous accelerated programs allowing timely water management between Friant Division and Cross Valley Central Valley Project contractors to meet agricultural demands and/or municipal and industrial or other water requirements.

The Draft EA/FONSI were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, and are available at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=23955. If you encounter problems accessing the document, please call 916-978-5100 or email mppublicaffairs@usbr.gov.
