SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation has released the Final Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for the American River Anadromous Fish Habitat Restoration Project.
The project includes creation and restoration of side channel rearing habitats for juvenile salmonids, spawning gravel additions, and woody material placement. This project is one of many to help meet the requirements of the 1992 Central Valley Project Improvement Act, Section 3406 (b)(13), to restore and replenish spawning gravel and rearing habitat.
The Final EA and FONSI were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and are available at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=3202.
