Reclamation Announces Negotiations with El Dorado Irrigation District for a Long-Term Warren Act Contract

FOLSOM, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation continues contract negotiations with the El Dorado Irrigation District on contract terms and conditions for a long-term Warren

Act contract.

The contract is being negotiated to reflect existing law and policy governing Reclamation’s ability to execute Warren Act contracts for the conveyance of

non-Central Valley Project water using excess capacity in federal facilities. The goal of the negotiation is to arrive at a mutually agreeable long-term

Warren Act contract.

The negotiation session will be held:

Wednesday, April 6, 2016 - 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Central California Area Office

Due to security requirements, attendees are asked to preregister by Monday, April 4. To preregister or

for additional information regarding the negotiations, please contact Lucille Billingsley, Supervisory Repayment Specialist, Central California Area

Office, at 916-989-7121 (TTY 800-877-8339), fax 916-989-7109, or lbillingsley@usbr.gov. Attendees will be

required to show a photo ID in order to obtain a visitor’s badge.

The public is welcome to attend the negotiation sessions and will have the opportunity to provide comments to Reclamation regarding this contracting

action; participation instructions will be available at the sessions. The proposed contract will also be available at the sessions.
