Background: The Bureau of Reclamation and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites the public to their annual meeting to explain plans for water operations along the Middle Rio Grande in 2016. Snowpack is below average in southern Colorado and northern New Mexico, but we still expect a modest spring runoff. The presentation will cover the process for determining the plan for water operations. It will include a review of the 2015 water predictions, as compared to actual storage and releases. Presenters will then explain the 2016 water forecast, potential for storage and release, and impacts to water-related recreation.
