Parking Lot Closure at the Cottage Way Federal Building, Sacramento, Begins September 6

The following news_release was published by the Bureau of Reclamation on Sept. 1, 2016. It is reproduced in full below.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) will close the parking lot at the Federal Building, 2800 Cottage Way, for renovations from Tuesday, Sept.

6, through Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016.

The closure is required for a complete remodel of the parking lot to include removing all asphalt, regrading, repaving, and re-striping to current

municipal code. The paving project will be substantially complete on Nov. 6, and the majority of parking spaces will reopen for tenant and visitor use. The

follow-on project will include the installation of canopy solar panels that will cover 90 percent of the parking lot. The solar panels will be installed in

phases following the parking lot reopening and will have limited impact on parking at the Federal Building.

Visitor parking will be extremely limited at the building during the closure. Individuals who must visit the Federal Building should coordinate with staff

in advance. Building employees will park at alternate off-site locations or telework.

For questions specific to the Bureau of Reclamation during the closure, please contact the Public Affairs Office at 916-978-5100 (TTY 800-877-8339) or mppublicaffairs@usbr.gov.
