SHASTA LAKE, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation has released the Draft Environmental Assessment for the proposal to approve drag boat exhibitions/competitions at East Park Reservoir (EPR) in Colusa County, CA.
The inaugural event would be held on September 9 and 10, 2017, at Serenity Cove on the reservoir’s east side. The event will be hosted by the California Hot Boat Association, LLC and is anticipated to attract 35 to 50 participants with up to 600 spectators. Similar drag boat exhibitions/competitions may be held at EPR annually for a period of up to five years.
Direct and indirect revenue collected by Colusa County may be used to fund the administration, operation and maintenance of recreation and recreational improvements at EPR, which the county manages under an agreement with Reclamation and the Orland Unit Water Users’ Association.
