FRESNO, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation has released the final Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for the proposed exchange of up to 15,000 acre-feet of water between Del Puerto Water District and Arvin-Edison Water Storage District.
Del Puerto's available water supplies would be released from San Luis Reservoir and conveyed through the California Aqueduct to the Cross Valley Canal where it would be delivered to Arvin-Edison for direct recharge or to meet district demands to offset groundwater extraction.
The final EA and FONSI were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and are available at https://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=29381.
