LOVELAND, Colorado -- The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation), in cooperation with the Town of Grand Lake, is seeking public input on a Resource Management Plan (RMP).
Reclamation is preparing the Grand Lake RMP. The agency will also prepare an Environmental Assessment in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act. Reclamation owns and operates the Colorado-Big Thompson project, which includes Grand Lake, and surrounding federal lands. Through a management agreement with Reclamation, the Town of Grand Lake is responsible for managing recreation at East Inlet Recreation Area. The RMP will guide future recreation development as well as the management of natural and cultural resources on federal lands.
The agencies will host an open house where the public can learn and ask questions about the resource management planning process, the lands affected by the plan, and provide comments. The public open house will be held at:
Town Hall
1026 Park Avenue
Grand Lake, Colorado
Aug. 14, 2018 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Public comments will be welcomed in writing at the event and throughout the 30-day public comment period.
