Public notice of temporary road closure at Canyon Ferry Reservoir

The following news_release was published by the Bureau of Reclamation on March 10, 2021. It is reproduced in full below.

BILLINGS, Mont. - Due to excessive muddy conditions, Hellgate Campground Road, located off Highway 284 on the northeastern side of Canyon Ferry Reservoir, is closed to vehicle traffic until further notice. The road remains open to the public by foot traffic only.

Reclamation staff will continue to monitor road conditions and will re-open vehicle access when road conditions improve. For questions, please call 406-475-3925.
