ELK CREEK, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation will initiate day use, camping, and boat fee changes at Stony Gorge Reservoir recreational area on May 28 to help improve Stony Gorge’s local facilities, provide increased visitor services, and protect natural resources. Visitors will pay fees with either a credit or debit card at the self-serve fee collection station located at the park entrance. Day use fees and daily boat ramp passes will each be $5.
While the campground remains closed, when it reopens, fees will be $15 per night with a $5 fee for every additional vehicle parked in the camp site. The Pines Group Site Campground ($75 per night) will continue to be reserved through www.recreation.gov upon reopening.
The following Stony Gorge fees are effective May 28:
* Day Use: $5 per vehicle
* Daily Boat Pass: $5 per launch
Additional Stony Gorge fees will be effective TBA:
* Extra vehicle: $5 per night
* Camping: $15 per night
* Pines Campground: $75 per night
