Reclamation announces 30-day comment period for Friant-Kern Canal Middle Reach Capacity Correction Project repayment contract

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation and the Friant Water Authority announced today a 30-day public comment period for a repayment contract related to costs of extraordinary operation and maintenance work on the Friant-Kern Canal Middle Reach Capacity Correction Project.

This project will restore a 33-mile stretch of the canal that has lost over half of its original capacity to subsidence. Learn more about the project here: https://www.usbr.gov/mp/fkc-fr.html and review the contract at: Extraordinary Maintenance Contract (usbr.gov).
