Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, U.S. Representative to the United Nations, met today in Praia with Cabo Verdean Prime Minister Ulisses Correia e Silva and Foreign Minister Rui Figueiredo.
She underscored the strong partnership between the United States and Cabo Verde, built on shared democratic values and our interest in deepening security cooperation, commercial relations, and action to address climate change. The leaders also discussed U.S. support for pandemic recovery, food security in Cabo Verde, and priorities for the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit in Washington December 13-15.
