Human skeletal remains found at Lake Mead National Recreation Area

National Park Service rangers received an emergency call reporting the discovery of human skeletal remains at Swim Beach in Lake Mead National Recreation Area at approximately 11:15 a.m. PST on Saturday, August 6.

Park rangers responded and set a perimeter to recover the remains with the support from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s dive team.

The Clark County Medical Examiner has been contacted to determine the cause of death.

The investigation is ongoing. No further information will be provided at this time.
