FBI New Orleans Violent Gang Task Force Arrests Seven Subjects

On Friday, April 22, 2016, at approximately 7:00 a.m., the FBI New Orleans Division’s Violent Gang Task Force, in cooperation with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD), and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office (JPSO), effected federal arrest warrants in the Hollygrove neighborhood of New Orleans.

Today’s arrests derived from a federal investigation and the indictment of Brandon Hall, Jonathan Lawrence, Donald Marcelin, and Brian Maxson on charges of conspiracy to distribute heroin and conspiracy to possess firearms. During the execution of today’s warrants the following items were seized: one AR-15 assault rifle, three handguns, more than $16,000 of bulk cash, heroin, and a small quantity of crack cocaine.

In addition to the federal indictment/arrests, three state arrests were effected on Lance Stovall, Lydell Stovall, and Vonzo Magee, for narcotics and weapons charges.

This matter is being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of Louisiana.
