FBI Apprehends Jacob Linn Cross Dog, III

FBI Apprehends Jacob Linn Cross Dog, III

On May 13, 2016, Jacob Linn Cross Dog, III was taken into custody without incident in connection with a May 11, 2016 assault against a tribal police officer on the Rosebud Indian Reservation. Cross Dog fled on foot after he shot and injured a tribal police officer. Cross Dog has a criminal history of assault with a deadly weapon and drug offenses.

The FBI together with the following law enforcement partners worked in close coordination to locate and arrest Cross Dog: Rosebud Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement Services; United States Marshals Service; Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives; Pierre Police Department; Bureau of Indian Affairs; South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation; South Dakota Highway Patrol; Stanley County Sheriff’s Office; and the Mellette County Sheriff’s Office.
