FBI Seeking Public Assistance in Aurora Bank Robbery
The Aurora Police Department and FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force are investigating the following bank robbery:
US Bank
2990 South Peoria Street
Aurora, Colorado
Nov. 10, 2017, 5:46 p.m.
The suspects are described as two black males, approximately 5’10 in height, weighing about 180 pounds, with medium builds. Suspect #1 was seen wearing a tan colored hooded jacket, white t-shirt, dark pants, and dark shoes. Suspect #2 was wearing dark blue hooded jacket, dark pants, and dark shoes.
The suspects demanded money from bank employees, received money, and fled the bank in an unknown vehicle and direction. No weapon was seen and no one was injured.
Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.
The FBI continues to provide financial institutions with the best practices for security to make them less vulnerable to robberies.
