FBI Investigating East Knox Bank Robbery

KNOXVILLE, TN-The FBI’s Safe Streets Task Force is seeking information about the person who robbed an east Knoxville Bank on Friday.

On Nov. 24, 2017, just before 6 p.m., the person, disguising his face with a mask, entered the Strawberry Plains branch of the Citizen’s National Bank.

The robber brandished a handgun, jumped over the teller counter, and demanded money. The person then fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The FBI’s Safe Streets Task Force is comprised of several local, state, and other federal law enforcement agencies, including the Knoxville Police Department and Knox County Sheriff’s Office locally, who partner to attack emerging crime issues in East Tennessee
