Three Federal Arrests in Six Days Involving Exploitation of Children
The Federal Bureau of Investigation, Cleveland Division, Akron Resident Agency and Toledo Resident Agency, announce the arrest of three individuals charged with federal violations involving children.
On Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, Jesse Glass of Vermillion, Ohio, was taken into custody by members of the Northwest Ohio Violent Crimes Against Children Task Force pursuant to a federal search warrant being executed. Glass was charged in federal court on Monday, Oct. 15, 2018, with coercion and enticement. Glass will appear in United States Magistrate Judge Thomas Parker’s courtroom on Monday, Oct. 22, 2018.
On Monday, Oct. 15, 2018, David Greathouse, Jr. of Ravenna, Ohio, was taken into custody pursuant to an executed search warrant by members of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Greathouse, Jr. was in possession of numerous videos believed to contain child pornography. Greathouse, Jr. appeared in federal court on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018. A detention hearing is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 22, 2018, at 10 a.m. in United States Magistrate Judge Kathleen B. Burke’s courtroom. Greathouse has been charged with receiving and distributing child pornography.
On Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018, Scott B. Brandeberry of Oregon, Ohio, was taken into custody pursuant to an executed search warrant by members of the Northwest Ohio Violent Crimes Against Children Task Force, with assistance provided by a member of the Canton FBI Resident Agency’s Crimes Against Children Task Force representing the Canton Police Department. Brandeberry engaged in a series of sexually oriented chats online with what he believed was a 14-year-old female. Brandeberry has been charged with coercion and enticement and sexual exploitation of children. Brandeberry is scheduled for a detention hearing on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018, in United States Magistrate Judge James Knepp’s courtroom.
