FBI Media Alert: Arrest Made in Gallup Bank Robbery

Richard Johns, Jr. has been charged federally with bank robbery in connection with a Feb. 19, 2019, bank robbery in Gallup, New Mexico.

The Gallup Police Department arrested Johns on Tuesday, March 5, 2019. FBI special agents took custody of him a short time later.

Johns, 46, had an initial appearance in U.S. District Court in Albuquerque on Wednesday, March 6, 2019.

Johns is accused of robbing Washington Federal, 221 West Aztec Avenue, in Gallup.

The public is reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent unless found guilty in a court of law.
