The FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force and Denver Police Department need your help identifying a bank robber. The suspect has been dubbed the “Spell Check Bandit" and has committed multiple robberies:

US Bank

1248 S. Broadway Street

Denver, Colorado

April 17, 2019, 3:04 p.m.

UMB Bank

1400 Wewatta Street

Denver, Colorado

April 4, 2019, 11:47 p.m.

UMB Bank

1400 Wewatta St.

Denver, Colorado

Nov. 23, 2018, 4:14 p.m.

The suspect was described as a white male, 25 to 30 years old, and 6'0" tall, slim to medium build and clean shaven. The suspect has been described as wearing a dark flat-billed baseball hat with sunglasses. After the April 4th and April 17th robberies, the suspect fled the locations on a bicycle.

Please be on the lookout for anyone matching the suspect’s description. Be aware of anyone similar who might have recently changed their spending habits or discussed coming into money suddenly.

Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.

The FBI continues to provide financial institutions with the best practices for security to make them less vulnerable to robberies.
